All participants are expected to behave respectfully and professionally.
Harassment, intimidation, discrimination or behaviour that causes
distress to others will not be tolerated. Individuals who violate
this Code of Conduct may be asked to leave the event.

This Code of Conduct applies to everyone participating in
BSides Kristiansand, including attendees, speakers, sponsors,
partners, vendors, volunteers, venue staff and organizers.

BSides Kristiansand exists to learn, share knowledge, collaborate
and build connections within the security community. We welcome
participation regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, age,
sexual orientation, religion, disability, socioeconomic background
or level of experience.

Be courteous, respectful and professional. Respect personal
boundaries and the boundaries of others. Consent matters,
and a clear “no” must always be respected.

Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, threats, stalking,
unwanted physical contact or advances, offensive or discriminatory
imagery, sustained disruption of talks or activities, and behaviour
that creates an unsafe or hostile environment will not be tolerated.

Alcohol must be consumed responsibly and in accordance with
Norwegian law. Illicit drug use and supplying alcohol to
underage individuals are prohibited. Intoxication does not
excuse inappropriate behaviour.

Respect the privacy and preferences of other participants.
Obtain consent before taking focused photographs or recordings
of individuals. If someone asks you not to photograph or record
them, respect their request.

Tell us if something happens.

If you experience or witness behaviour that violates this
Code of Conduct, please contact us as soon as possible.

• Submit an anonymous report through the event feedback form.

Reports will be handled as discreetly as reasonably possible.
Organizers may take any action considered necessary to protect
participants and the event community. This may include a warning,
removal from the event, exclusion from future events, or referral
to venue security or relevant authorities where appropriate.
