Abstract
In this talk, I will explain in brief terms what shellcode is, and demonstrate how one can write shellcode from scratch using Visual Studio. I will detail pre-requisites for your shellcode to work as intended, and explain why this is. A technical talk containing C++, assembly, and Windows internals.
Bio
Trym Skilleås is employed as a security analyst at SpareBank 1’s Incident Response Team, and has been in the security space for 11 years. Through a career as both an analyst, incident responder, pentester, and red team operator, he has a holistic view and experience set within operational cybersecurity.
Trym holds a bachelor’s degree in software engineering and the OSCP certification, among others.
